Customer Cases

Representative access-control and parking projects delivered by Baroxon®. Each case states the industry, the country or region, the model used, the challenge, the solution and the measured result.

Residential condominium — São Paulo, Brazil

Industry: Residential condominium

Country / Region: São Paulo, Brazil

Model: Baroxon® YH-DZ01 boom barrier with 4.5 m folding arm + RFID reader

Challenge: A manual gate and a paper visitor log produced 6 to 8 minute queues at the two entrance lanes during the 07:00-09:00 peak, with no record of who entered.

Solution: Two RFID lanes (resident tag on the windscreen and one visitor lane) replacing the manual gate, plus a web dashboard with per-vehicle logs and a 4.5 m folding arm sized to the low headroom.

Result: Peak-hour queue reduced from 6-8 minutes to under 25 seconds, 100% of entries logged, and the condominium now handles 1,400 vehicles per day on the same two lanes.

Manufacturing plant — Campinas, Brazil

Industry: Manufacturing plant

Country / Region: Campinas, Brazil

Model: Baroxon® high-speed barrier gate + full-height turnstile for shift access

Challenge: A plant running three shifts with 900 workers had to open the truck gate manually at every shift change, mixing pedestrian and vehicle traffic at one gate.

Solution: A high-speed barrier gate for the vehicle lane and a full-height turnstile for pedestrians, both reading the same badge, with IP65 control housings for the powder-dust environment.

Result: Shift-change gate time reduced from 35 minutes to 9 minutes, pedestrian-vehicle incidents at the gate eliminated, and 24 months of fault-free operation across three shifts per day.

Logistics and warehousing — Paranaguá, Brazil

Industry: Logistics and warehousing

Country / Region: Paranaguá, Brazil

Model: Baroxon® long-range RFID barrier with 6 m arm + ALPR/LPR entry camera

Challenge: A distribution centre moved 220 trucks per day through a single gate, and every truck had to stop, sign a paper log and wait for the guard to open the gate.

Solution: A long-range RFID lane reading windscreen tags at 8-12 m for contactless passage, backed by an ALPR camera lane for unregistered carriers and a 6 m arm for the wide truck lane.

Result: Average gate time per truck cut from 4 minutes to 22 seconds, the site now clears 220 trucks in the same shift with two fewer gate staff, and 99.9% first-pass read rate was measured over 60 days.

Public car park and shopping mall — Belo Horizonte, Brazil

Industry: Public car park and shopping mall

Country / Region: Belo Horizonte, Brazil

Model: Baroxon® ALPR/LPR car plate system + barrier lane with anti-crash radar

Challenge: A shopping mall car park with 1,800 bays was losing ticket revenue, had no reliable occupancy data and its barriers damaged vehicle bumpers.

Solution: Full LPR ticketing with plate read at entry and exit, a barrier lane driven by the LPR controller, and a 79 GHz radar replacing loop detectors so the arm cannot close on a vehicle.

Result: Revenue leakage from lost tickets eliminated, average entry-to-bay time down 40%, and bumper-damage claims reduced from 7 per month to zero in the first quarter.

Toll plaza and highway concession — Santa Catarina, Brazil

Industry: Toll plaza and highway concession

Country / Region: Santa Catarina, Brazil

Model: Baroxon® 0.9 s high-speed barrier gate with fence arm

Challenge: A concession lane needed to lift barrier throughput to match new automatic payment systems, but ordinary barriers could not cycle fast enough at holiday peaks.

Solution: A high-speed barrier rated at 0.9 s opening with a 3 m fence arm, integrated with the toll lane controller and sized for 1,200 vehicles per hour in continuous duty.

Result: Lane throughput increased from around 700 to 1,180 vehicles per hour, with no barrier-induced stops during the holiday peak and 1,000,000 cycles verified on the factory bench before delivery.

Hospital — Recife, Brazil

Industry: Hospital

Country / Region: Recife, Brazil

Model: Baroxon® barrier lane with low-noise arm + wheelchair-accessible flap turnstile

Challenge: An emergency entrance had to stay open 24 hours with an ambulance lane while staff parking and pedestrian access shared the same narrow site and had to remain separate.

Solution: A low-noise barrier arm for the ambulance and staff vehicle lane with emergency free-exit logic, plus a wide-aisle flap turnstile and card reader separating pedestrian traffic at the clinic entrance.

Result: The ambulance lane has never been blocked since commissioning, pedestrian and vehicle streams are fully separated, and measured lane noise is below 60 dB at the residential boundary.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers written for the Brazilian market: local voltage, import documents, delivery times, spare parts and technical support.

What voltage do Baroxon barriers use in Brazil?

Baroxon® barrier gates are produced with 110 V AC, 220 V AC or 24 V DC drives, so the equipment can be supplied for 127 V or 220 V Brazilian networks without an external transformer. The 24 V DC version adds battery backup and keeps working during a power failure.

How long does delivery to Brazil take and what is the minimum order?

Production takes 15 to 30 days after the deposit, plus 30 to 45 days of sea freight to Santos, Paranaguá, Suape or Manaus. We accept one unit for testing and pilot projects, with progressive discounts from 10 units and from a full container.

What documents are provided for customs clearance in Brazil?

Every shipment includes the commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, CE test report and SGS report, plus the technical datasheet and the installation manual in Portuguese for the Import Declaration and for INMETRO-related documentation.

Do you provide spare parts and technical support in Brazil?

Yes. We hold arms, springs, control boards, loop detectors and remote controls in stock and provide 24/7 remote support in Portuguese by WhatsApp, e-mail and video call, including wiring diagrams and parameter settings for your site.

Can the barrier be integrated with the parking software we already use?

Yes. The controllers provide relay outputs, Wiegand, RS-485, TCP/IP and SDK/API options, so Baroxon® lanes integrate with third-party parking management, LPR and access control software already used in Brazil.

How does an LPR system handle Brazilian number plates?

The LPR camera and controller are trained on both Mercosul plates and the older three-letter Brazilian format, in daylight, at night and in rain, reaching 99.5% first-read accuracy on our 800-vehicle test set.

What is the warranty and what does it cover?

The standard warranty is 24 months on the drive unit and 12 months on electronics and cameras, covering manufacturing defects. Warranty parts are shipped from our stock without waiting for the faulty part to be returned first.

Can Baroxon equipment run on solar power?

Yes. The 24 V DC barrier gates, radar sensors, parking locks and gate openers can run from a solar panel and battery set where grid power is unavailable, which is common for remote toll lanes and tourist sites.
